“Teleki Pál” Contest in Geography and Geology for the Carpathian Basin

MTT announces this contest in subjects related to Geography and Geology for Hungarian schools acting within Hungary and in the neighboring countries, in 2 categories: for pupils at 7th and 8th grades (13 – 14 years of age). MTT creates separate worksheets for the Domestic Rounds and the Final, based on the subjects and contents released in the calls for the competition.
The contest is organized in 3 rounds, starting at School (in Budapest district) level, followed by County (in Budapest capital) level rounds and the Final for the Carpathian Basin.

The contest has been announced and organized since 1993 by the “Gyula Benkő” Society for the Protection of the Environment and Nature, Mezőtúr, Hungary. |
The goal of the competition is to enable pupils of 5th-6th grades to unfold their talent in the independent perception of the environment, in practicing field work, in proprietary application of research methods, as well as to express their messages in the form of delivering a presentation.
The contest is organized in 3 rounds, starting at School (local) level, followed by County (in Budapest capital) level rounds and the Final for the whole country.
